Smooth False Foxglove is also called False Foxglove and Oakleech. The later name refers to plant's parasitic relation to oak roots. Compare to another member of the Figwort family, Aureolaria pectinata, also called False Foxglove and also parasitic on oak roots. These plants were photographed along Sorrento Road in Pensacola, Florida, in mid November.

Scrophulariaceae - Figwort family
