| Spanish Needles is a common member of the Aster family in the Mobile area. The plant itself is inconspicuous, but anyone who frequents the outdoors will have encountered the achene, or seed pod. It is often found adhering to trousers, socks, and cats. This plant was photographed in my garden in early October. |
