| Butterfly Pea, or Climbing Butterfly Pea, is a member of the Fabaceae, or Pea family. Note the compound leaves with three leaflets and the broad banner petal, both characteristic of the Pea family. The plant is a vine a few feet in length. This plant was photographed along Shipyard Road, in South Mobile County, Alabama, in mid August. |
