Sensitive Partridge Pea

| Sensitive Partridge Pea has sensitive leaves, which will close if touched. It is a member of the pea family. Older field guides will probably call this plant Cassia nictitans. Chamaecrista fasciculata , also called Partridge Pea, is very simular, but has flowers about twice as big as does Sensitive Partridge Pea. These plants were photographed in my garden in West Mobile in late August. |
