| Yellow Colicroot is a member of the Lily family. Compare it to Golden Colicroot (Aletris aurea) and note that the flowers of Yellow Colicroot are open, while those of Golden Colicroot remain closed. Yellow Colicroot tends to be found in slightly boggy areas. These plants were photographed near Rabbit Creek, in South Mobile County, Alabama, in late April and in May. |
