Common Mullein

Common Mullein is uncommon in this area. Occassionally it is found along roadsides, railroads, or disturbed areas. It is not a native of North America. Mullein is a biennial: the first year it grows as a basal rosette of very large, woolly leaves; the second year it sends up a flower spike up to six feet tall. Mullein is a member of the Figwort family. |
