Chamber Bitter

| Chamber Bitter is a a member of the Spurge family. It is a native of Asia, where it is reportedly used in traditional medicine. Here along the Gulf Coast it is an invasive weed. I would rate it along with Cogon Grass as the most troublesome of weeds for the home gardener. These plants were photographed in my garden in West Mobile, in early September. |
