| Sensitive Briar is a member of the pea family. It is a vine: usually rather short and prostrate. The scientific name has recently changed from Schrankia microphylla to Mimosa microphylla: field guides may use either name. The leaflets of this plant will close if touched, hence the "sensitive" in the name. |
