Narrowleaf Blue-eyed Grass

Narrowleaf Blue-eyed Grass, also called Blue-eyed Grass, is a member of the Iris family. There is
some confusion about the plants in this genus, with some considering Sisyrinchium angustifolium and
Sisyrinchium atlanticum (Eastern Blue-eyed Grass) to be seperate species and some considering
them to be varieties of the same species. I think that these are the Narrowleaf variety. These plants
were photographed along Bayou Heron Road, in the Grand Bay National Wildlife Refuge, in early March.
